Exchange 2007 does not send "external" emails...
Hello all, please help me with this "evergreen": Exchange 2007, send connector to all domains (*) but I can send no external email... All emails are waiting in queue, after several hours sender receives "Delay message" and after several days message expires...:-( I don't know, what to configure...:-( More details: I have in my organization one Exchange 2000, if I configure send connector to send mails to smart host (exchange 2000), everything works. But I would like to uninstallthis "smart host" and use only Exchange 2007. Thank you very much Dalimil

Are messages receiving NDRs and if so what error code is in them? Either you have an Exchangeconfiguration issue or a network connectivity/accesss issue on outbound SMTP connections. Are you using an Edge server in 2007 to route external outbound email? More details are needed as there could be any number of reasons that outbound mail doesn't flow.

Hi Jeff, thank youfor trying to help me... Error code in NDR is: #550 4.4.7 QUEUE.Expired; message expired ## I am using Hub Transport, no Edge server for sending mails (if you tell me how, I can post here some details of configuration of my Exchnage 2007). Dalimil

Hi Dalimil, Did you configure the Send & Receive connector for the internet mail flow correctly? Suggest you to verify the settings for the created connectors as per below article... Hi Dalimil, Please check which queue the email hangs. In addition, Please let me know the last error of the queue. You can refer to following articles: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb684901(EXCHG.80).aspx In addition, please increase transport diagnostic log level on hub server and check Application Log for any related error. Hi Mike, thank you for your post, problem was resolved. I have not two RG connectors between Ex2k and Ex2k7 and this was the problem, now it seems working properly. I hope, when I move all mailboxes to Ex2k7 and then I switch off Ex2k, it will be ok... Maybe...:-) Still one question - where are dislplayed connectors in Exchange Manager 2007, I can see RG connector in System Manager (Ex2k) but I can't find them in Exchange Manager, there is displaed only Send and Receive Connectors... Thank you very much once again... D.

Problem persists...:-( I have two RG connectors, internal mails (I have only mailboxes on Exch2k7) are possible, no problem. But external mail are in queue, similar for other domains: Identity : ZEUS\94DeliveryType : DnsConnectorDeliveryNextHopDomain : quick.czNextHopConnector : 2fd92f7c-d17c-49da-980e-6a404b58a2acStatus : RetryMessageCount : 3LastError : 451 4.4.0 Primary target IP address responded with: "421 4.2 .1 Unable to connect." Attempted failover to alternate host, but that did not succeed. Either there are no alternate hos ts, or delivery failed to all alternate hosts.LastRetryTime : 31.10.2008 10:09:34NextRetryTime : 31.10.2008 10:20:16IsValid : TrueObjectState : Unchanged Senders don't receive any error... I don't know what to do...:-(( Send connector is configured... DNS seems to be ok... Thank you for your advice... D.
